I’m a Las Cruces Web Developer who moved to the City of the Crosses from Illinois in 2006. I graduated in 2003 with a programmer’s degree, but I’ve been creating websites since my high school days. After college I spent several years teaching myself to further specialize in web development, since that’s my passion. I’m currently employed as the Senior Web Developer at NMSU Research where I write web applications and databases for the Physical Science Lab and other Research Programs. Nights and weekends I work as a freelancer and run Duskrider Design out of my Las Cruces home.
I’ve worked at NMSU for over 12 years doing what I love, creating websites and online programs designed to make people’s lives better. I’ve specialized in working on the web for over 15 years. In that time I’ve created everything from a small one-page business card site to a muti-layered custom developed web application. I’ve got the tools and the talent to not only design a great site, but develop it from scratch. My experience has allowed me to become so comfortable with web development that I can do projects in far less time than most other designers, which also allows me to give my clients more for less.
In 2013 I married my beautiful wife, Amanda. In July of 2020 my wife gave birth to our two beautiful baby girls, McKenzie and Brooke… making us a family of six if you count our two dogs.
I’m also the author of the book “Bariatric Surgery: The Best and Worst Decision I Ever Made“. I enjoy writing and am planning on writing more books in the future, when I have the time. In my spare time I’m also teaching myself how to rebuild engines and work on an old Ford truck.
